He now calls on leaders to ensure culverts are laid in the road to facilitate easy movement of people and their goods.

Kaahwa Kizito, the Chairperson, Kyabakenda boda boda stage says recently, a pregnant woman delivered in the middle of the road as she was being taken to the clinic.

Bigabwenkya Swalleh, the Ruguuse parish councillor says the residents are tired of the poor state of bad roads in the sub county which has seen minimal development.

Meanwhile the district councillor for Bugambe sub county Christopher Nkalu says the state of the road in question has been worsened by the sugarcane trucks from Hoima sugar limited. He says they have already written to the management of the company tasking them to work on the road as soon as possible.

By the time of filing this story, graders belonging to Hoima sugar works had started filling the holes dug by the angry residents.
