One person has been killed and three others injured following a land wrangle between two families in Kabaali village in Buuraru sub-county Hoima district.
The deceased has been identified as Amos Kasangaiki a son to the late Jackson Kifundara, a resident of the same area.
It’s alleged that the deceased and others were hacked after two families of John Guchwaki and that of late Kifundara engaged in a fight over land. Guchwaki is brother to late Kifundara.
The family members have been wrangling over an 80 acre piece of land for the last two years.
Charles Bigirwa, a brother to the deceased says on Tuesday morning at around 8am they were attacked by a group about 15 people armed with sticks, pangas and spears as they were attending to their garden. The group that was allegedly led by John Gukwaki, a grandson to Guchwaki pounced on the children of the late Kifundara, beat them up and hacked one to death.
