The Hoima City Resident Commissioner Samuel Kisembo has assured Emyooga Fund beneficiaries that they will soon get their certificates that enable them access the funds.

Recently, the Emyooga beneficiary groups expressed dismay over the delayed release of the funds, though some claim the monies are already on their accounts.

Andrew Zimbe, the Regional Manager for Microfinance Support Center says two weeks ago, they released the certificates of the beneficiary groups to district officials. Of the 72 Saccos, certificates of 62 Saccos were handed over to the district authorities. These are meant to benefit from Sh2.24billion.

Kisembo admits receiving the certificates adding that they have delayed to release them to the beneficiaries until they are equipped with knowledge and skills on Sacco management.

He adds that they also want to set modalities of how the money will be accessed to the members without mismanagement.
