Shock has gripped locals of Kiriisa cell in Hoima West division in Hoima after lightning struck dead a fellow resident in the area over the weekend.
The Incident occurred on Sunday evening when Augustine Kyamanywa, now deceased, 70, was reportedly hit by the lightning near the shade of his house during the light rains which passed through the area at around 5pm.
The Chairperson of the area Moses Kihamba has expressed shock in their area saying the entire cell has been moved by the incident.
Kihamba narrated to our reporter that the deceased was at his home by the time of the incident when lighting strike carried him from the shade of his house and threw him at a distance near the trees at his home.
A statement from Police was unavailable by the press time.
