In a moment of royal joy, the Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Wilberforce Kadhumbula Gabula Nadiope IV, and his wife, Queen Jovia Mutesi, have welcomed twin sons into their family.

The princes, named William Ethan Nadiope and Arnold Eli Nadiope, were born on August 27, 2025, as confirmed by Eng. Patrick Batumbya, who chaired the royal wedding committee.

The exciting news was shared by the Kyabazinga himself through his official X (formerly Twitter) account.

“With profound joy and heartfelt gratitude, I am delighted to formally announce the birth of our twin sons: Prince William Ethan Nadiope and Prince Arnold Eli Nadiope, born on the 27th day of August 2025,” the Kyabazinga stated.

He described the moment as a cherished milestone for his family, adding that both the newborns and their mother were in good health.

“The arrival of the newborns marks a deeply cherished milestone in our family’s journey, and we are overwhelmed and humbled by the magnitude of this double blessing. Both newborns, along with their remarkable mother, are in high spirits and excellent health,” he said.

The Kyabazinga also expressed gratitude to God and to all well-wishers who have shown support during this time.

“We give thanks to Almighty God for His blessings and abundant grace and for ushering us into this new chapter as a family of four. The outpouring of love, goodwill and prayers from all our friends and well-wishers has been profoundly uplifting, and we remain sincerely appreciative of your continued support,” he noted.

He further said he looked forward to introducing the princes to the Busoga Kingdom subjects and well-wishers in due course.

This arrival comes less than two years after the couple’s historic wedding on November 18, 2023, at Christ’s Cathedral in Bugembe, Jinja.

Their union marked the first royal wedding in Busoga since 1956 and was attended by dignitaries from across Uganda and beyond.

The ceremony was officiated by Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu and followed by a grand procession to the Igenge Palace.

The birth of the twin princes is seen as a significant moment for preserving the royal lineage and strengthening cultural traditions in Busoga. Private ceremonies and traditional blessings are expected to formally introduce the princes to the kingdom
