3,691 Register for 2025 PLE in Hoima City

A total of 3,691 pupils in Private and Government Schools have been registered to sit for this year’s Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) in Hoima City.

This has been revealed by The Hoima City Principal Education officer Johnson Kusiima Baingana while in an exclusive interview with our reporter.

Baingana has disclosed that out of 3,691 registered students, 1,943 have registered under Universal Secondary Education, 1,748 registered under Private Schools.

The City Education Officer has further added that he expects all registered students to turn up for exams in November.

He says School heads shouldn’t interfere or block learners from sitting for their final exams due to school fees balances however advises parents not to use the same chance to default School fees.

Meanwhile, in accordance to UNEB orders on displaying candidates registers, a number of Schools visited by our reporter on Wednesday in Hoima City, have started implementing the directive and have displayed the list of their candidates registered for their final exams.

At Duhaga Boys School, 131 students were registered, and all have been displayed according to Fred Musinguzi, the institution Head teacher. He says the display of the candidates’ register aids to rectify mistakes and also help parents confirm registration of their learners.

Obed Manzi, a primary teacher at Good Samaritan primary school disclosed that 36 students were registered and their list has been displayed to help learners and parents confirm registration in the UNEB system.
