Christians have been urged to love another and embrace reconciliation in the wake of the political hostilities that resulted from the recent National Resistance Movement (NRM) primaries elections.

The call was made on Sunday by Rev. Canon. Francis Mugisa, the archdeacon of Kagadi archdeaconry during service at St. Luke’s COU Parish in Kagadi town council Kagadi district.

He condemned the electoral malpractices including voter bribery, vote rigging, intimidation, multiple voting and other irregularities that marred the NRM primaries elections, calling on the perpetrators to reform.

Rev. Canon. Mugisa asked Christians to forego their political differences and promote love for one another, peace and reconciliation, asserting that besides their alignment to different political affiliations, they remain one in Christ.

Rev Canon. Mugisa further encouraged the faithful to embrace faith in Jesus Christ and live by his values to inherit the Kingdom of God.
