Residents of Kisiita West Cell in Kisiita Town Council, Kakumiro District are in shock following the tragic death of two juveniles aged four years.

The deceased have been identified as Muramuzi Charles, son of a renowned businessman Nasasira Charles, and Twesigomwe John Paul, son of Frank Twesigomwe Muntu.

It is alleged that the two children were playing together before they were reported missing at around 8:30 pm on Tuesday. After hours of searching, their bodies were discovered at about 10:00 pm, lying lifeless on the veranda of Nasasira Wholesale Shop.

Neighbors, who preferred to remain anonymous, suspect foul play. They allege that the children may have been murdered and their bodies later forced into a nearby refrigerator that was reportedly not functioning at the time.

The LC1 Chairperson of Kisiita West Cell, Gard Bankunda, said he was alerted by Nasasira that his son was missing and was later informed of the tragic discovery.

Bankunda condemned the incident, describing it as heartbreaking and disturbing to the community.

The District Woman Councillor for Kisiita Town Council and Kisiita Sub County Oliver Atuhaire, urged parents to take full responsibility for their young children to help prevent such tragic incidents.

By press time, police from Kakumiro had arrived at the scene and launched investigations, deploying a police sniffer dog. No arrests had been made at the time of filing this report.

The bodies were transported to Kakumiro Health Centre IV for a postmortem examination as investigations continue.
