UGX 365B Required to Establish Five Schools of Learning at Bunyoro Public University

The Bunyoro Public University steering committee has revealed plans to construct five schools of learning at the University premises as they work towards timely kick starting of the operations of the University.

During a one-day stakeholder meeting with the members of parliament from Bunyoro University at Kabalega Resort Hotel on Friday morning, Professor Samuel Kyamanywa the Chairperson of the committee says they intend to establish the schools as part of the operations of the University saying that they will start with two schools in the first year.

According to Professor Kyamanywa who is also the Vice Chancellor of the University, they need UGX 365 billion to establish these schools adding that the biggest challenge for now, is how to source the funds and ensure the works start in the shortest time possible.

He has asked the members of parliament hailing from the region to offer all the required support and lobby in their capacities to ensure these funds become available saying that they have already completed the physical planning of the University awaiting construction works to kick off.

He also adds that they have already completed construction of 6.7KM access roads to the University premises located in Nyantwe cell in Buhimba town council in Kikuube district.
