The Electoral Commission (EC) has emphasized that each voter will undergo the biometric voter verification kit to eliminate cases of any election irregularities.
Speaking to Spice FM exclusively, Hassan Takwana-Returning Officer Hoima District says all voters will be required to go through the kit before they cast their vote adding that at the end of the voting process, the cast ballots will again be exposed to the machine to rule out any cases of ballot staffing among others.
Takwana has now advised all politicians to embark on using the remaining days of campaigning carefully to ask for votes knowing that there will not be opportunities of engaging in electoral irregularities saying this time round it is one man one vote.
In Hoima, Takwana disclosed that they are yet to receive the machines as they rush to confirm presiding officers whose names are supposed to be uploaded on these machines ahead of the Election Day.
The Electoral Commission official has also warned candidates against breaking campaign guidelines adding that all campaigns are expected to be concluded 24 hours to the polling day.
He has urged voters to turn up for the forthcoming election exercise that starts on Thursday next week with Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
