The state minister for Works and Transport Hon Fred Byamukama has rallied all clans in Bunyoro region to embrace the importance of unity and knowledge-sharing among their fellow clan members in order to foster development in their communities.

Minister Byamukama made the call over the weekend as he addressed hundreds of Abazira Abaligira Abafunjo clan members of Buraru Sub County who gathered at the home of the late Stanley Kato in Kisagara village, Buraru sub-county, for a get-together meeting aimed at fostering unity and strengthening bonds among members.

Elder Enos Kahwa, 97, appealed to Minister Byamukama to prioritize the maintenance of feeder roads in Kisagara village, citing difficulties faced by elderly residents due to poor road conditions.

The Buraru sub county chairperson Robert Mwanga raised concerns regarding land encroachment by the National Forest Authority (NFA), alleging corruption and requested for free government land titles for Buraru residents to prevent land grabbing.

In response the Minister pledged to address the road maintenance issue and work with NFA to resolve land disputes, promising to follow up on the matter.
