The State Minister for Bunyoro Affairs Hon Jennifer Namuyangu has reassured people in Bunyoro region of government’ commitment to improving service delivery and livelihood through different interventions.
Namuyangu has made the remarks this morning while commissioning the distribution of 410 iron sheets from the office of the prime minister to different beneficiaries at Hoima district headquarters.
She said that the government is coming up with different supportive interventions to supplement on district budgets to improve on service delivery. The interventions according to Namuyangu include distribution of more hoes, iron sheets, sewing machines, milling machines and heifers.
She has asked people in Bunyoro region to support the NRM government and President Yoweri Museveni because the government has visible projects implemented in the region.
The beneficiaries include; Haibale COU which received 200 pieces, Kakindo primary school-100 and Bulindi COU got 110 pieces.
She says Bunyoro region has been allocated over 47,000 iron sheets from the OPM.
The Hoima district LCV Chairman Uthuman Mubarak who was represented by the Vice Chairperson LCV Hellen Mulumba has commended the OPM for always supporting Hoima district.
The Hoima district Chief Administrative Officer Ssempala Emmanuel says that the interventions by the OPM have had great positive impact like improving on leaner enrollment and academic performance in schools.
