Police in the Albertine South region has embarked on recruitment of special police constables ahead of 2026 general elections. The recruits will work with the force for a period of three months earning UGX 469,000 monthly.
Julius Allan Hakiiza the Albertine South Region Spokesperson says they are welcoming applications at the district police commanders’ offices by November 1from Ugandans with the necessary documents aged 18 years and above.
Hakiiza says they want Ugandans with no criminal record and with national IDs who are ready to undergo a basic training course for a period of one month urging women to apply for these positions.
He has emphasized that the exercise is free of charge and no officer should request for money from the recruits.
