Shock engulfed residents of Kibwera B in Kyenzige Sub County Kagadi district on Tuesday after a shade of commercial house collapsed killing one person.
The deceased was identified as Fred Kwihangana, 55, a resident of Kibwera B in Kyenzige sub-county, who was a practicing builder in the village working with other builders.
Information obtained by Spice FM reveals that the deceased was hired to fix cracks on the building belonging to man only identified as Gerald when the shade collapsed on him. He was later retrieved and rushed to Kyakabadima health centre III where he had his last breath.
Jesca Maneragaba, wife to the deceased, said the husband had no health conditions and was also in a sober state by the time he arrived at the building site.
Residents blamed the incident on the poor works where the building was poorly levelled and had been worked on by more than one engineer.
