A 30-year-old man identified as Twijukye Onesmas has died after allegedly being cut by his wife using a panga following a domestic dispute in Kibaale district.
The incident occurred on Tuesday in Omurugoro Village, Bubango Sub County in Kibaale district.
Julius Allan Hakiiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson says preliminary investigations indicate the deceased sold his wife’s radio without consent, sparking an altercation at their home.
Hakiiza adds that the fight escalated, resulting in severe injuries inflicted on the husband from a panga attack which later resulted into his death.
He adds that Police responded promptly, documented the scene, and later conveyed the body of the deceased for postmortem at Kibaale Health Centre IV.
He adds that exhibits have been recovered, and the woman has been arrested to aid in the ongoing investigations.
The Albertine region spokesperson has urged the public to seek help from authorities in resolving conflicts peacefully, rather than resorting to violence.
