The Retired Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara Diocese Nathan Kyamanywa has condemned acts of bribery during the ongoing electoral process citing incidences where National Resistance Movement (NRM) registrars signed declaration (DR) forms of different winners on the same position.
Kyamanywa says such evil acts are due to lack of integrity among leaders adding that such people need to be heavily penalized. He has also condemned security agencies that connive with registrars to force them to do things that are out of the law adding that such acts can lead to bloodshed.
The man of God was on Monday addressing mourners attending the burial of the late Patrick Jolly Baguma in Katasiha Cell, Hoima West division in Hoima City who perished in the road accident on Friday night.
The late Baguma who served as FDC vice president under Col. Rtd. Dr. Warren Kiiza Besigye Kifefe and later Vice President FDC Western under Gen. Rtd. Mugisha Muntu lost his life in a road accident along the Entebbe Expressway on Friday night.
On his part, the Retired Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara Diocese Samuel Kahuma has warned Custodians of torture against such acts saying that such individuals will be required to answer before God.
Meanwhile, Retired Archbishop of the Church of Uganda Stanley Ntagali disclosed that death follows people everywhere thus asking Christians to always keep prepared.
