Hoima City Security Committee Warns on Violence During Thursday NRM Elections

With only hours left to the NRM primary elections of Members of Parliaments, voters have been warned against violence and violating the guidelines for the election.

The warning was sounded by Moses Muyambi the Hoima East Division Deputy Resident City Commissioner in an interview with Spice FM reporter on Wednesday.

He urging the public to remain vigilant on Election Day to ensure a peaceful and successful voting process, adding that voters should put in their mind that the election is for the party and all candidates are from one family.

He said they have not registered serious cases during campaigns, calling for peace during and after elections.

The deputy RCC also disclosed that security is ready and will be on standby to ensure peace prevails during the electro process. He also warned politicians against buying alcohol to their supporters and igniting pressure into groups for purposes of causing violence saying culprits will be arrested and charged.
