Hoima District Woman MP Aspirants Table Plans for Women Empowerment in Spirited Debate

The Aspirants for Hoima district woman Member of Parliament seat have laid down plans meant to empower the women across the district in the next five years.

The Aspirants who include Beatrice Wembabazi, Incumbent Harriet Businge and Susan Asiimwe laid down the plans on Monday during a spirited debate organized by Spice Media Services and HB Hotel on Monday.

Beatrice Wembabazi has revealed that women empowerment is crucial and as a leader she has already initiated Tr Mummy foundation which comprises of the women empowerment component. She under that under the component, there is a Tr mummy credit revolving fund where women will always access funds in order to start up different development projects.

Harriet Businge has noted that during her tenure, she has been effective on women empowerment through supporting different groups across the district. She says she lobbied for a tractor which supports the farming sector where most women take part.

Susan Asiimwe has revealed that she intends to skill women in the district to ensure they start up their own personal projects. She further disclosed that she has already initiated a skilling centre where youth and women have already been equipped with a number of skills.

The Aspiring leaders tackle other issues related to service delivery ranging from health, education, agriculture roads sectors and the general development of the households in Hoima.
