Over 200 people in Bugambe Sub County in Kikuube district have received tittles.
This was during the belated Women’s Day celebrations for Kikuube district, presided over by Judith Nabakoba the Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development who represented the Prime Minister of Uganda Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja.
Nabakoba on behalf of the Prime Minister assured residents of Kikuube district on land security, the reason they are distributing land tittles adding that more will benefit
Flora Natumanaya the Kikuube district Woma MP and the chief organiser appealed beneficiaries to use the tittles carefully adding that as Kikuube leaders, they are committed to fight land grabers by lobbying more tittles.
Christopher Nkalu the Kikuube district Speaker representing the Kikuube district Boss Peter Banura, disclosed that 20,000 land titles are not enough since the district is too big. He says it has taken 58years with out being splited. He asked for new administrative units
