Flying Squad Recovers Two Cows in Hoima

The police flying squad in the Albertine region has recovered two stolen cows and arrested three suspects.   The cows were recovered from the Butema in Hoima district. Police has not disclosed the details of the arrested individuals

Information obtained from the police indicates that the three suspects have been stealing cattle from different areas and keep them in different areas.

A joint operation by crime intelligence, flying squad elites, and detectives from Hoima Central Police Station led to the recovery of two suspected stolen cows in Butema, Hoima. The cows are believed to have been stolen from Kasongoire village in the neighbouring Masindi district.

Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson has confirmed the recovery of the cows and detention of the three suspects.

In July 2024, the Flying Squad in the Albertine Region recovered eight stolen cows and arrested one suspect in Masindi.  The cows were recovered from Kijunjubwa village in Kimengo Sub County in Masindi district.

This was after thugs raided the home of a cattle farmer only identified as Koozo of Kijunjubwa village in Masindi and made off with his nine cows.

The case was reported to Masindi police and immediately, a team of flying squad detectives was dispatched to the area.

The detectives managed to recover eight cows out of the nine that had been stolen.
