The prime Minister Rt. Hon. Nabbanja Robinah has assured the public that the government has already released 39b shillings to complete the rehabilitation of Mityana-Mubende road.
Nabbanja revealed this while commissioning the South Division administration block and a health center for the division in Mubende municipality, Mubende district.
Nabbanja says that president Yoweri Museveni ordered Finance to release the 39b shillings needed to complete the road rehabilitation of the Mityana-Mubende road which had stalled due to inadequate funds.
Nabbanja says the NRM government is committed to improve access to facilitate development of the country.
Nabbanja first commissioned a health center for Mubende South Division constructed using locally raised revenue and ordered for its immediate upgrade to a health center III to serve the public better.
The premier asked the people of Mubende to embrace government programmes and increase their household incomes.
The leaders from Mubende briefed the prime minister on challenges affecting the people of Mubende that include inadequate electricity, water and road infrastructure.
Nabbanja while responding to the issues raised asked the town clerk to make a report and assured them of government intervention.
The prime minister donated 10m shillings towards the completion of the South Division administration block.
