The Nominations of flagbearers of special interest groups (SIGs) on the National Resistance Movement (NRM) ticket is set to kick off on Friday May 30 across all cells/villages in Hoima city.
This has been revealed by the Hoima City NRM Registrar Ms. Sarah Kobusinge while in an interview with Spice FM on Wednesday.
Kobusinge says as a party electoral commission they are on the move to catch up with the road map issued by the Independent electoral commission (EC) headed by Justice Simon Byabakama Mugenyi and they want to have flagbearers for all Special Interest Groups on time and later they forward the names to the commission.
The SIGs include the elderly, persons with disabilities, youths, veterans, and women where Kobusinge says this time round the elections being organized are just like the previous structure elections, but, this will purposely identify the party flag bearers.
She has mobilized interested individuals to turn up for the nominations and participate in the forthcoming elections.
