Police in Hoima City and Hoima district has this morning kicked off the exercise of interviews for shortlisted applicants for the position of police probationer constable (PPC). The interviews are taking place at the Albertine regional headquarters in Hoima City.
Speaking to Journalists at the police headquarters Julius Allan Hakiiza, the Albertine regional police spokesperson revealed that 68 applicants were shortlisted in the city and the district for the position, adding, a team of medics led by the regional police surgeon Julius Muhwezi has carried out a medical examination on all the applicants to ascertain their medical fitness. He also added that they have exposed the candidates through a 7km road run to ascertain their physical fitness.
The Albertine police force cautioned the applicants to maintain medical and physical fitness even after today’s interviews adding that at each stage, they always carry out vigorous examinations. He specifically cautioned the female applicants keep themselves safe by not becoming pregnant during the entire exercise.
Mr. Deo Kasangaki a resident of Kiryangobe village in Kitoba sub county and Swalleh Kiiza the Chairperson LCI Nyakabingo village in Buseruka sub county expressed optimism that their children will be recruited into the force and have encouraged them to serve diligently in order to improve their livelihoods.
