Masindi Couple Seeks UGX20million For Baby’s Urgent Heart Surgery.

Denis Kyasimiire, 45 and his wife Imelda Nyamaizi, 35, both residents of Northern Cell in Central Division, Masindi Municipality, Masindi district are hunting for 20 million shillings for heart surgery for their five-month-old baby girl.

Devine Ninsiima, born on August 22, 2024 developed heart complications three months later after birth.

Imelda Nyamaizi, the baby’s mother, told our reporter that their baby was later admitted at Masindi General Hospital where they spent two weeks on oxygen but were later referred to Hoima Regional Referral Hospital.

After spending three weeks at Hoima Regional Referral Hospital on oxygen, they were referred to Mulago National Referral Hospital.

The mother of four stresses that they are seeking 20 million shillings for the surgery which is supposed to be done within the space of two months but they don’t have money.

Denis Kyasimiire, the baby’s father says he has spent the little he had including selling land and they are about to be kicked out of the house due to accumulating rent bill.

He therefore appeals for support from government, government officials and also well-wishers to save the life of their fourth child.
