The Construction works of Panyimur Search and Rescue Center are nearing completion, the ministry of works and transport has revealed. The Center is located at the shores of Lake Albert in Pakwach district.
According to the ministry of works and transport, once complete, the center will become operational and significantly enhance the emergence response capabilities to boost water transport safety on the Lake Albert waters especially for the locals in Bunyoro and West Nile regions.
“With cutting-edge equipment, a dedicated team, and strategic readiness, we are committed to ensuring safety, preparedness, and rapid response in times of need.” The ministry revealed in a statement on Monday morning.
