Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has appealed to sub county speakers and deputy speakers to prioritize improving their household incomes. Nabbanja who doubles as the woman MP Kakumiro district made the call last evening while meeting the leaders at her office in Kampala.
Nabbanja also asked the speakers to desist from acquiring loans but live within their means.
She further asked the leaders to be exemplary in whatever they do so as to be role models imploring them to engage in agriculture for commercial purposes and select profitable enterprises.
The Premier appealed to sub county speakers and their deputies to mobilize the people to use the remaining days for voter update.
The sub county speakers and their deputies were taken to Parliament to witness the proceedings of Parliament so as to improve the way they conduct council business.
Ajuna Joseph, the speaker of Kakumiro district council lauded the prime minister for supporting the leaders. Ajuna says that the trip has been very crucial in improving the way speakers conduct business.
