The Bunyoro Kingdom Prime Minister Andrew Byakutaga has urged the Kingdom Chiefs in Masindi Municipality to mobilize and rally the community members to embrace coffee growing and government programs in order to improve their household income.
His message was delivered by Owek. Robert Rukahemura, the Social Affairs Officer at Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom during the induction and planning meeting for kingdom chiefs in Masindi Municipality on Tuesday held at the Municipal chambers.
Byakutaga also asked the kingdom subjects to ensure they take back their children to school when the first academic term reopens next week.
In his remarks, Rukahemura said that the induction meeting aimed at equipping the kingdom chiefs on their roles in the protection and promotion of kingdom historical sites, cultural norms and sensitizing the community members on both kingdom and government programs.
Abdallah Sserunkuma, the Kingdom Chief in-charge of Masindi Municipality the meeting was organized to orient and train Kingdom chiefs at all levels to know their roles in promoting and protecting kingdom sites and activities.
