Kagadi District has registered an improved performance in the released Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results compared to the previous year.

A total of 6,941 candidates sat for the exams, with 93.4% achieving a pass rate, reflecting a positive trend in the district’s education sector.

According to the District Inspector of Schools, Omukwenda Alinda, the results indicate that 84% of candidates passed in Division 1 to 3, demonstrating significant progress.

However, male candidates outperformed female candidates, a trend that has remained consistent since 2023.

The data shows a decrease in the number of candidates who failed or were ungraded, with only 342 candidates falling into this category in 2024 compared to previous years.

There was also a slight decline in the number of candidates achieving Division 1, with 371 candidates in 2024 compared to 402 in 2023.

Key performance statistics for the district indicate that In Division 1, there were 210 male candidates and 161 female candidates, totaling 371.

In Division 2, the male candidates numbered 1,756, while the female candidates were 2,144, bringing the total to 3,900.

For Division 3, there were 697 male candidates and 894 female candidates, making a total of 1,591.

In Division 4, 278 males and 344 females were recorded, resulting in a total of 622.

The number of ungraded candidates was 147 males and 195 females, totaling 342.
