The Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) has donated relief food items to people who were affected by floods in Buliisa District.
The items include 400 bags of maize flour [Posho] and 200 bags of beans.
Muzamil Udok Chi the district councilor representing Ngwedo Sub County who doubles as the secretary for production, environment and natural resources confirmed the donation from the Prime Minister`s Office saying the items are already at the district headquarters.
Udok Chi said the items will be distributed to the floods affected persons in Butiaba and Buliisa town council, Butiaba and Buliisa Sub County and also Wanseko town council where hundreds of people are severely affected by floods.
He commended the government for donating food items, stating that, next week the items will be delivered to beneficiaries and asked leaders to ensure proper distribution of the items to reach the intended beneficiaries.
