Police in the Albertine region has commended the residents in the region for the peaceful and successful Christmas celebrations that have just ended.
According to Julius Allan Hakiiza the regional police spokesperson, there were no major incidents registered in the region as communities were engaged in festivities apart from a few isolated cases which security teams led by district police commanders were able to handle successfully.
“The Regional Police Commander (RPC) Albertine extends warm congratulations to the public for a peaceful and successful Christmas celebrations. The RPC commends the District Police Commanders (DPCs) for their exceptional work in maintaining law and order during the festive period” Hakiiza added in an exclusive interview with Spice FM.
He has now urged the residents to uphold similar peace and vigilance as well as exercise responsibility as they prepare for New Year’s celebrations on January 1, 2025 next week.
The Albertine regional police spokesperson has further urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious or disruptive activities to the authorities.
