The pre-construction works for the Upgrade of the 43KM Kabwoya-Kyangwali-Buhuka Asphalt surface are in high gear after the government contracted a Chinese construction company China railway seventh group.
The construction works are expected to be completed in 36 months at a contract sum of Ugx 263 bn.
Ambrose Atwine, the communications officer China railway seventh group says that they are currently conducting road safety sensitization, maintenance and constructing a camp site in Wairagaza.
Atwine explains that road safety sensitization is so crucial before they start serious works to avoid accidents.
Meanwhile residents, especially boda boda cyclists have asked for expeditious processes and works because they are suffering with dust and potholes.
