The police in Kagadi have arrested a man over allegations of murdering his brother.
Tuhaise Byaruhanga, a resident of Mutunguru village, in Burora sub-county is alleged to have killed his brother Byaruhanga Tugume, on Sunday after picking a quarrel over a piece of family land.
It is alleged that Tugume wanted to sell part of the family land an idea that Tuhaise brother objected to.  However, Tugume went ahead and sold the land, which angered his brother.
On Monday morning, Tugume’s body was discovered lying in a pool of blood with multiple cuts all over his body. His head was also chopped off.
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson says, detectives introduced a sniffer dog to the scene and it led them to Tuhaise’s home.
The suspect is currently detained at Kagadi Central police station.
