Several secondary school heads in Hoima and Masindi districts have initiated a campaign aimed at enhancing the education standards in their schools across the districts.
This was during a one day engagement held at Sir Tito Winyi secondary school located in Bulindi town council over the weekend where several secondary school teachers graced a training on improving education standards and performance in their students.
Schools which participated in the engagement included Kinyara, Sir Tito Winyi, Treasure High School and Millennium secondary schools among others.
Allan Tusiime, the head teacher Sir Tito Winyi secondary school says a number of government schools are still registering low performance among students in A’ level in the two districts something that requires concerted efforts to change this narrative.
Several other teachers who attended the engagement agreed with Tusiime noting that they need to devise means of ensuring their A ‘level students improve on their performance.
