Police in Kikuube district are hunting for a group of people who lynched to death a businessman in his 60’s in Kagadi district after being suspected of stealing a motorcycle.
The deceased is Charles Mujogoro, a resident of Kibyabyenju Cell in Kagadi town council, Kagadi district was attacked on Sunday evening in Kitoke Village, Kabwoya Sub County Kikuube district.
Julius Allan Hakiza the Albertine region police spokesperson disclosed that the deceased went to Kabwoya on Sunday with a new motorcycle that the boda-boda cyclists suspected to have been stolen.
Hakiza notes that the mob chased the deceased up to his spare parts shop and found many motorcycle number plates in the shop thus lynching him to death.
He says the body of the deceased was picked and taken to Kikuube health center IV for post-mortem.
