The King of Toro Kingdom, Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, has appointed Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki as the new Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Planning and Investment.
According to Sylas Ruhweza, the Deputy Information Minister in the Kingdom, Rwomiire’s primary focus will be on forming strategic alliances with local and international stakeholders, including potential investors.
Ruhweza emphasized that this appointment is crucial for advancing the kingdom’s social, cultural, and economic interests on a global scale. Rwomiire will join the ranks of the other two Deputy Prime Ministers, working alongside Steven Kiyingi, the Kingdom’s Prime Minister.
The other Deputy Prime Ministers are William Kwemera Ngabu, who oversees Finance and Administration, and Harriet Nyakake, who is responsible for Gender, Culture, and Clan Mobilization.
This appointment marks a significant step in the Toro Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing its development initiatives and fostering economic growth through collaboration with various partners.
