The Kagadi deputy Resident District Commissioner- RDC Benjamin Tumusiime has rallied parents to send all children to their respective schools early enough so that they catch up with those who have already reported.
Despite the fact that schools opened on Monday September 16, 2024, Tumusiime says the learners’ enrolment is still very low, emphasizing the need for parents to send all their children to school with requirements.
Speaking to our reporter on Tuesday, Tumusiime advises parents to shun the old mentality that the first week of the term is for general cleaning of the school premises, highlighting that the trend changed now serious academic work begins on the first day of reporting.
Tumusiime has further warned parents against keeping their children at home occupying them with domestic work, insisting that operations will be mounted and errant parents will be arrested.
Meanwhile, the head teacher Kagadi Model primary school Emmanuel Abigaba has highlighted on the importance of third term in the education cycle of a learner.
Abigaba says its third term where learners sit for promotional exams to elevate to another academic level but is strongly touched as many parents seem not to value the uniqueness and significance of this term.
