MTN Uganda has donated UGX 10 million to the Bunyoro Kitara Diocese in support of the consecration of Bishop Jacob Akweteireho.

The telecommunication company has Tuesday presented a dummy cheque to Bishop Samuel Kahuma, the retiring Bishop, by Olive Mwesigwa, General Manager of MTN Uganda Hoima.

According to Mwesigwa, MTN Uganda is deeply committed to supporting the development of the church highlighting the introduction of a merchant code for Bunyoro Kitara Diocese, which enables people to contribute money easily and promotes the use of MTN MoMo Pay.
