Police in Kikuube are holding six suspects to aid the investigation of the murder of one Apollo Tumwesigye a resident of Kalele village, Kaseeta parish in Kabwoya sub county Kikuube District.
Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine Region police spokesperson notes that “it’s alleged Tumwesigye had domestic issues with the wife Peace Tumushabe who the man accused of having extra marital affair with one Mubarak Kabagambe, the secretary for defense Kabegaramire village. Peace who has a one-year-old baby boy with Kabagambe.
Hakiza says on Saturday, Kabagambe together with two friends identified as Mubarak Rumahe and Jonathan Kamugisha were seen with the deceased behind his residence as his wife was selling alcohol.
He adds that on Sunday morning, the body of the deceased was recovered at around 7am about 200 meters from his residence with multiple injuries on head, back and chest.
Hakiza says police has picked up the secretary for defense Kabegaramire village and five others to aid with investigations.
