The State Minister for Transport Fred Byamukama has fulfilled his pledge and delivered 13 culverts to fix bridges in Mpeefu Town council.
The culverts were on Wednesday morning commissioned by the Kagadi RDC Lillian Ruteraho who later handed them over to the Kagadi district Lc5 chairman Yosia Ndibwami and Dr.Willy Habomugisha Mucunguzi aka Malari who represented Mpeefu residents at a function held at the Kagadi Central Police Station.
Ruteraho has commended Minister Byamukama for supporting communities in Bunyoro in infrastructure development.
The Kagadi district LC5 chairman Yosia Ndibwami says the culverts were requested by Dr.Mucunguzi a concerned citizen from Mpeefu Sub-County during a meeting with the Kagadi NRA civilian war veterans who would later meet President Museveni at State House Entebbe.
Meanwhile, after receiving the culverts, Dr. Mucunguzi is now calling for community efforts when it comes to fixing the culverts in areas like Nshangi, Buligira, Rugambwa, Bwera to Galiboleka and Kanyamunguse all access roads connecting villages within Mpeefu.
