Over 400 Scouts and Girls Passed Out in Hoima City.

Over 400 Scouts from both Primary and Secondary Schools in Hoima district and Hoima City have been passed out with a call to implement the Skills they have attained.

The Pass out was held at Duhaga Secondary School where different Schools have been camping for four days, being trained in different disciplines like interpersonal Skiils, protection and defensive skills, among others.

Mayanja Bomthon the Chairperson Hoima City Scouts Council says the core point is discipline and obedience and Patriotism.

Ali Swaibu Muhamed the Bunyoro regional Coordinator for Scouts says they are aiming at mentoring the young people to have discipline, share ideas and preparing the young people to adhere in all conditions but not always live in comfort zones.

He asked the New Elected Scout Youth Council to be voice of the rest and present their ideas and problems to the concerned Authorities.

Harriet Asiimwe the Inspector of Schools in charge of Hoima District disclosed that Scouts have been trained on self-esteem, discipline and hygiene. She has asked them to implement what they have been taught also.

Haruna Alinda, the Hoima City Sports Officer Speaking as the Chief Guest has asked the passed out Scouts to go out in the communities and showcase what they have learnt, be disciplined and Patriotic.

Salvation SS, Bwikya SS, St. James, Premier SS, Kitara SS, Duhaga SS, and St. Doviko Kitana, Kibanjwa Primary School, Bright Star Primary School, St. Paul primary School, Buyanya primary School, among others participated.
