The Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife, and Antiquities recently concluded a district assessment visit and chose Kasese to host the event scheduled for 27th September 2024.
Under the theme; Tourism and Peace, the ministry’s permanent secretary Doreen .S. Katusiime in a letter addressed to the Chief Administrative Officer-Kasese said, they anticipate using this event to showcase the important developments and attracts of the region, and highlight the role of peace in the social economic development of the region.
“We thank you for the passion and support of the tourism sector and look forward to a successful engagement and organization of the World Tourism Day 2024” The statement concluded
Eric Baluku, the Kasese municipal tourism officer, is optimistic that such an event is an opportunity to further showcase the tourism and business potentials of Kasese.
Kasese has in recent years turned to its tourism potentials to attract global attention.
The Rwenzori Theluji Festival, an annual tourism event is one big occasion aimed at promoting sustainable tourism investments and enhancing the allure of destination Kasese with a remarkable Rwenzori experience.
