Police in Masindi are hunting for one of their own PC Euzien Ssenono a police officer attached to Bwijanga police post for the murder of Ronald Asiimwe male adult aged 30 years.
The deceased is resident of Kineba village in Katanga parish, Bwijanga Sub County in Masindi district.
Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson says PC Ssenono is alleged to have shot dead Asiimwe who he had gone to arrest.
Hakiza says after the incident, the police officer took off but in this morning he returned the gun to one of the police posts in the district and went into hiding.
However, Hakiza says police has managed to arrest one Wilson Musinguzi, aged 35 years, a resident of the same area and crime preventer who had gone with the officer to effect the arrest to aid police with information.
Hakiza adds that efforts to trace the suspect are on.
