The director of Lion’s Junior School in Kinubi, Hoima East City Division and four of his staff are on the spot after an 11-year-old primary seven candidate at the school was defiled by an intruder at around 2am on Tuesday.

The school director Julius Kyaligonza is on the run while his four staff the matron, deputy director  Milly Kyomuhendo who is also the wife to the director, the head teacher Erica Bitagasa and the security guard are detained at Kinubi police station.

Sources say on a fateful day of April 2, 2024 an unidentified man accessed the girls’ dormitory at around at 2am holding a knife and directly went to the victim’s bed, grabbed and defiled the victim several times before he took off to unknown destination.

It is said a concerned staff at the school contacted the parents of the girl the next day Wednesday afternoon about the worsening health condition of their daughter which prompted the parents to rush to the school and picked the girl for further medical attention.

The father of the victim who preferred anonymity tells Spice FM that they reported a defilement case at Kinubi police post which swung into action and arrested the school matron, deputy director, head teacher and gate man as investigations into the matter continue.

Julius Allan Hakiiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson confirms the incident saying a police report has confirmed that the child was defiled.

He adds that the school authorities first concealed the information took the girl who was left with a ruptured hymen and severe bleeding to a nearby clinic.

A police medical report confirms that the girl was defiled.

Hakiza says four people are in detention while the case file has been submitted to the office of the Resident State Attorney for perusal and legal advice.
