The LC3 chairperson Kasimbi Sub County Omuhereza Tibaingana Ategeka, has been released on police bond after spending three days in cells at Kibaale police station.

Omuhereza Tibaingana was arrested last Friday on allegations of causing grievous harm to one Patrick Muhangi a resident of Kitooro East in Kasimbi Sub County who was accused of stealing a bicycle in the same area.

Moses Kitamirike, the District Police Commander Kibaale who preferred not to be put on record confirms that Omuhereza Ategeka involved in beating the suspected thief into coma on accusations of stealing a bicycle.

Kitamirike notes that Omuhereza Ategeka was released on bond following a mutual understanding between the victim’s relatives and some LC3 chairpersons from Kibaale who agreed to foot all the necessary medical bills of the victim.
