The Kagadi Town Council Clerk Geoffrey Mugisa has confirmed the arrest of the persons suspected to have stolen the Government Tractor a massey ferguson Reg.no LG0027-19.

Speaking to Spice FM, Mugisa says the suspects were apprehended from Kampala and will aid police with investigations as well as identify other suspects who are still on the run.

He adds that the tractor was retrieved and is currently parked at Jinja Road police station.

He has however concealed the suspects’ identities for fear of jeopardizing investigations.

Mugisa has asked the public to remain calm as investigations into the matter are ongoing, emphasizing that the accused will be taken to court and face theft charges.

The government tractor went missing from the town council former offices along Kagadi-Hoima road at around Mid-night on February 9, 2024. It was allegedly stolen by persons who loaded it on a car carrier Reg. no. UBL 309R before driving off to unknown destination.
