Police in Mpeefu Sub-County Kagadi district are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in his 50’s identified as only Muganda a business man dealing in bananas.
The deceased hails from Masaka district but has been residing in Kobushera Mpeefu.
According to the Kobushera village chairman Edward Karukohe, the deceased on Christmas day developed a misunderstanding with his colleague identified as only Michael over a yet to be established amount of money.
On Tuesday morning, Michael allegedly attacked the deceased from his home, stabbed him in the stomach using a knife killing him instantly.
After the incident, the key suspect in the murder case who is also a resident of Masaka district reported the matter to Kobushera police where he was apprehended.
By press time, police were still waiting for the deceased’s relatives from Masaka to come and take the body for burial.
