Bishop Kahuma Urges Christians to Shun Domestic Violence

The Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara Diocese Rt. Rev Samuel Kahuma has challenged the people of Buyoro to celebrate Christmas responsibly and avoid acts that may result in domestic violence during celebrations to mark the birth of Christ.

In his Christmas sermon at St Peters Cathedral on Monday morning, in Duhaga cell in Hoima west division in Hoima City, Kahuma noted that the current economic situation is not good and advised that the Christians that they should not over spend their finances only for these few days on things that do not help them such as alcoholism.

He advises the public to avoid engaging in acts such as alcoholism, sexual immorality and other acts but instead use this period to mend their relationship with their God.

He also warns the public against acts alcoholism saying the vice is a source of confusion that result to domestic valance.

Bishop Kahuma also warned the youth in Bunyoro region against living reckless lives that do not glorify the Goodness of God.

He noted that during such celebration youth engage in evil acts such as sexual immorality, drug abuse and Alcoholism, fighting and other things that can ruin their lives.

Kahuma also underscored a need for Christians to always remember to put leaders in their Prayers adding that leaders who have no God’s control can dangerous.

He noted that some groups criticize the Anglican Church for always praying for leaders adding that it is Christian duty to pray for leader so that God’s hand restrains them.
