The election campaigns for the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party primaries for the Hoima district LCV By-Election elections has entered the final week with candidates traversing sub counties and parishes in the district for last minute votes.
Speaking to Spice FM, Sarah Kobusinge, the ruling party election officer for Hoima District says the party primary election campaigns will end on August 26, 2023 noting that so far, no major challenges have been registered.
She adds that compiling of the final party register that will be used during next week’s polls is also ongoing.
Seven candidates are contesting for NRM flag and they include Savanna Vincent Muhemuza, Micheal Byakagaba, John Kwemara, Yunusi Mugabe, Uthumani Mugisa Mubarak, and Jackson Mugenyi Mulindambura.
NRM party members in Hoima district will go to polls on Monday August 28, 2023 to elect their party flag bearer ahead of nominations which kick off later on Wednesday in that same week.
