Kikuube Man Kills Father Over Land
Police have arrested three family members for allegedly killing their father one Gabriel Ntamukunzi aged 65 years and resident of Rwengabi village, Kyangwali parish in Kikuube district.
The suspects including two females and one male are children of the deceased.
Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine region spokesperson explains that the deceased on Saturday August 12, 2023 at around 2:00am picked a quarrel with his family for paying a loan of 4 bags of maize to one Alex Byamukama one of the maize dealers in Kyangwali without their notice.
Hakiza reveals that his wife Beatrice Nyirankundo, his daughters Olive Tukamushaba, Florence Kyomugisha, and sons Sam Twesgye, Daudi Habimana and Kato were all involved in the quarrel.
Hakiza adds that the group led by Sam Twesigye one of the deceased’s son assaulted their father causing bodily injuries.
He says Ntamukunzi died while being taken to Kyangwali health center III for treatment.
