Police in Masindi district have arrested two people identified as Christine Lova 38 years and Yovani Mugisa 40 years residents of Kasomoro village, Kyakamese parish in Pakanyi sub county for allegedly murdering one Moses Baingana from Ibanda district.
According to the Albertine region police spokesperson, Julius Allan Hakiza the deceased was last seen on July 27, 2023Â with Lova taking waragi in one of the bars in Kasomoro.
Hakiza says Mugisa came claiming to be Lova’s husband and after few hours the deceased had to escort Lova back to her home but unfortunately after some time they recovered Baingana’s body with multiple cuts on his head.
He says police upon receiving the information, Mugisa’s house was searched and they recovered a shirt full of blood stains an indication that he could have murdered the deceased.
